"Different Seconds Of Pleasure" : THE WEEKEND MIX
This should be self-explanatory. I was inspired by Mauijim's comment on Wednesday's post about putting Rockpile back together for a new record. I played "Seconds Of Pleasure" and yes, yes, oh what a thrill...still. I couldn't just share the record as is. And then I thought of this.
Enjoy. Apologies in advance for the fluctuation in audio quality. I did what I could with my resources. It's really not bad at all. I had a blast, test-driving it. I think you will, too.

it's not hard to find used copies of "Seconds" in the dollar bins. it's bemusing - who would give up that record?
This looks great. Thanks. Rockpile coulda been a contenda... guess it wasn't meant to be.
But if memory serves, the original LP came with a bonus EP of Nick and Dave singing Everly Bros. songs, right?
No rule says a Weekend Mix can't have bonus tracks!
Diak,
The thought crossed my mind and now I regret not doing it. Would have been fairly easy to find four Everly Brothers covers. Damn it!
This mix ain't nothin' but fine!
wow thank you very much. Am very humbled to have been inspired by my comment. Love you and your blog Sal.
I have that Nick & Dave Everlys EP... but no turntable (sorry, vinyl d-bags).
Would love to hear that disc again—can anyone point me to mp3 files of it? I couldn't find anything...
Ken D,
I'll send you a zip of the EP. I'll just post it here, in case anyone else wants. You should sell me your records!

Another good one! Saw Rockpile open for Elvis Costello a couple times in 1978.
Nice one. Thanks mixing it. For my sins I've been listening to a lot of Dave Edmunds & Squeeze this past fortnight so this is a comfortable fit. Cheers!
