Who Dat?

Anyone care to take stab at who might be singing this lovely version of the Conway Twitty hit?

The only hint I'll give you is this:

He and his band are very famous, and even, if you weren't a fan, every one of you knows their biggest hit.

NO cheating!

I know Brian May did a version and that would tick all of your boxes....but this isn't him.

After listening to the song and the voice closely several times.... My guess would be Ian Gillian, although Ritchie would argue it's HIS band!

It is Ian Gillan and The Javelins, but I like Robert Gordon's version better.

It took me awhile but it's got to be Ian Gillan.

I believe I stand corrected. After several listens, it sure does sound like Mr. Gillan. Please don't publish my previous post. Thank you.

Yes, it is indeed Ian Gillan and The Javelins. Congratulations. Oddly enough, it's the only track off the record that doesn't sound exactly as Ian Gillan does on Deep Purple records.
