I'm sure the number of people who watch American Idol and read BW would make a very small venn diagram relationship.

But I thought Adam Lambert was amazing back in the AI days -- and his voice is still amazing. The man has a gift.

@Shriner,
I agree.
Got into a heated discussion with one of my oldest friends from Brooklyn over Lambert.
Me? Love him. Thinks he's amazing for Queen
Him? Not so much.

Great and welcome share Sal, thank you.

Adam's version of "Mad World", which he performed originally on AI, is my favorite cover of that song. I love him. And yes I watched him on AI, and he's my favorite of that group. (Curt Smith just recently did a lovely version from his home with his young daughter).

I don't watch AI anymore but I did in the first few years and the sheer love of and joy for music most contestants had made me so happy. Some wonderful voices/performers came out of that, whether one likes their music or not- Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Adam of course, Carrie Underwood. Miranda Lambert is a truly great country singer-songwriter solo and with her group Pistol Annies, she was on Nashville Star, came in second. Gems are gems wherever they are found.
