I mentioned my disappointment in "Hell On Wheels," the opening track from the excellent new Lemon Twigs record. Well, here is that same song, stripped of the all extras that made it not work for me.
This is a lot of music being made by just two kids with a piano and guitar. Without the hammy lead vocals, sound affects and screeching Jim Steinman choir found on the album, you can hear so much more.
Yep! Exactly. Or Bowie! Ian and Bowie would sell it. Brian D'Addario is not selling it. I find the fake southern accent and fake Dylan impersonations...well...fake. It's why I posted this duo version you sent from Seth Myers. You can hear a great song.

Imagine Ian Hunter/Mott the Hoople doing this song.

Very catchy--you can see the good song that was hiding under the album version.
Outstanding....very Mott...and very good!
Hello yeah!!
It is an annoying album opener.
