New, Old Paul

This may be old news to you, but I just stumbled upon this lovely track from Paul McCartney, originally found on a deluxe edition of "Memory Almost Full."

I love when that happens.

That's one of my favorite Paul albums.

I'm usually not big on expanded and bonus tracks, but this one was worthy.

I’m just amazed I hadn’t heard it before. I really like this album and have both a CD and LP but neither has this track.

There are a few nice bonus tracks from 'MAF." That's one of them. Sometimes Paul will tuck amazing gems as bonus tracks with CD singles or on his endless iterations of expanded albums. One of my absolute faves is "Kicked Around No More" from I think one of the "Off the Ground" CD singles.

I heard that McCartney III will have something like 18 different versions, including colored vinyl options, single CDs, boxed set versions, etc., which seems kinda bullshit to me -- a rather transparent strategy to heighten sales by marketing multiple versions of the same album to fans/completists. But sometimes he makes it worth it.

That's a pretty nice track. I have that deluxe edition, which is the one with the bonus DVD Live at the Electric Ballroom (also good). I went back and listened to the other bonus tracks and wasn't as impressed. Both seemed like musical sketch pieces or something. IMO, not up to snuff with the rest of the album. But thanks for the reminder on Why So Blue.
