"Hot Stuff": THE WEEKEND MIX

File this under "looking for that, but found this," a terrific club set from Toronto, 8/16/02, with one of the more interesting set lists from the Rolling Stones. And no "You Got Me Rockin'!"

I'm sure this is out there, but I had forgotten about it, so maybe you did, too.

"looking for that, but found this," -- Story of my unfocused COVID life!

My friends and I wasted so much time tracking down rumours about those secret Stones shows and I only know one credible person who attended.

Looking forward to listening to this as I wish the working day away! Thanks!

Nice one! Thanks for the zip. And I can't be the only one who likes "You Got Me Rocking", a song of redemption and rebirth and, all together now: "Hey, hey, you got me rocking now". Cheers!

Thanks, looks like a good setlist. And on another note, I just have to say that the latest Cheap Trick is my favorite album of the year so far. Can not stop playing it. So good!

Just finished listening. Really enjoyed it thank you! PS You Got Me Rocking isn't bad if you can get past some of the lyrics. For me the main problem with Voodoo Lounge (and Bridges to Babylon and A Bigger Bang for that matter) is that it's too long. In my iTunes I have my own version that is only 10 songs that I think plays much better. I wonder if you ever edit albums in your digital collection to "improve" them?

@Jared,
The lyrics and Jagger's delivery are a big turn off. And really, "Hey Hey, you got me rocking," seems really cheap.

But YES, I do create edited playlists on Spotify.

this is great! thanks

and Jared, I do that ALL the time. I have definitive versions of Springsteen's "Working on A Dream" (remove "Outlaw Pete" and "Queen of the Supermarket" and shuffle the other songs around and it's a really good album!) and others in my playlist forever

@Chris Collins,
Don't you think "Queen Of the Supermarket" would have worked if it was any other 4 syllable word than "supermarket?" I like everything else about it, well except maybe the cash register sounds at the end. The word "supermarlet" just doesn't work in a rock song.
