Hot off the presses are two new tracks from two highly anticipated releases...in my house!
Up top, the first single from the record that reunites Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, "Raise The Roof." It's out in November, and the single, coincidentally, is a cover of the Randy Weeks tune "Can't Let Go," a song also covered by Lucinda Williams that I featured as a Song Of The Day only a week or two ago.
Below, once again with tongues planted firmly in cheek, the always brilliant, hilarious and hard rocking Justin Hawkins and "Motorheart," the title track from The Darkness' new one, also out in November.
Here's hoping you dig both of them.
I sure do.

Love the Robert & Allison track! Such a great song, and their version is pretty terrific. Thanks for sharing, I had not heard this was coming out.
Thanks - Things to look forward to in the fall are good.
I had no idea a new Darkness album was coming soon. Always something to look forward to!
The Krauss/Plant is definitely delightful and bodes well for the album. The Darkness track is delightfully bonkers, a counterpoint to Roxy Music's "In Every Dream Home.." for me perhaps, and the best guitar solo played on a vacuum cleaner I've seen today. Grateful thanks for the heads up on these two. Cheers!
I dig the Krauss / Plant. After wearing out more than a few electrons I've also been listening to Raising Sand and that fun mix you made of the original versions of that album. Nice!
Alison and Robert are The New Everly Brothers. The Darkness recreate 1975 to perfection on this one.
I'm digging both of them and looking forward to the albums. Thanks to The Darkness for putting the lyrics on the video!
Loving the Plant/Krauss track. Listened to the original since I wasn't familiar with it. This is so much better.
I had no idea Plant and Krauss are reuniting. Very good news.
