Perry Como: An example of the music that drove kids to embrace Rock & Roll.
BabyMetal: Music to commit suicide to.
Wow, both of thes performances scared the hell out of me. That these kinds of music could elicit such twisted emotions out of me is so weird.
I have to go listen to The Easybeats "Good Times" to clean my musical pallet. What a strange but powerful way to begin my morning. My skin is crawling. :-)!
And now I'm listening to some Perry Como albums, starting with In Italy because Ray Charles (!) did the choral direction. Presumably just honorary thing (surely Ray had better things to do) though Como used the whiter-than-white Ray Charles Singers throughout his recording career. And side one is v strong, though side two keeps the album from being strong. But three v good songs including one keeper with "One Day After Another."

I think in the year of our lord 2021 you can't post a clip of "Mr. Relaxation" Perry Como without the accompanying SCTV parody.
And the BabyMetal clip reminded me of that other all-female Japanese metal band you posted a while back whose name I forget and who were much better.

Shriner,
Band Maid, and yes, gimmicky but a helluva good band.
Captain,
"My skin is crawling."
Haha.
"Band Maid" -- thank you for that reminder.
From Perry to Scary!…Yikes!
Man, a lot has gone down in fifty years..."and I'm getting old."
Today's sign that the apocalypse is at hand
Upon further reflection:
HEY YOU KIDS, GET OFFA MY LAWN!
Captain Al
What was the bottom one, choreographed by Leni Reifenstahl?
Whew! I'll take Perry.
