Durango 95- The Ramones/Daughter Of Darkness- Tom Jones
For a few years in the early 90's, I had a DAT recorder and I was obsessed with creating mixed DATs to play in the shop. I still have a couple of hundred of those now unplayable mixes, and one of them opened with this very cool Ramones/Tom Jones one-two punch.
Flowers- New Radicals
The album that keeps on giving, here's another gem from the New Radicals' "Maybe You've Been Brainwashed, Too."
We Meet, We Part, We Remember- The Holmes Brothers
I always think of this song at Christmas. Remember, Christmas music doesn't always need to be traditional.
Louie Louie- Toots & The Maytals
Instant happiness from The Maytals. Probably my favorite version of this oft-covered classic.
My Happy Day- Geraint Watkins
Basically the Nick Lowe band but in the hands of keyboardist Geraint Watkins. This should put some pep in your step.
Play Dead- Bjork
The great lost Bond theme from Miss Bjork.
And click on that Cover Version Of The Day for a lovely take on a holiday classic from our very own BuzzBabyJesus

Thanks for this mix... and Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all!
Absolutely spot on about Toots & the Maytals version of Louie Louie
I dug the BuzzBabyJesus take on Sliver Bells!!! Very cool
Brilliant
Not a bad SOTW zip job, many thanks. The New Radicals weren't around for very long (didn't have time to become The Old Radicals) but that's a pretty good album anyway. Cheers!
Wowza, I had not heard that Toots take on the venerable 'Louie'! Love that 'Bat Macumba'-ish solo!
