Cheap!InColor!Tonight!

I went on a bit of a Cheap Trick binge last week and found an original Japanese boot from 1998, the year CT toured the first three albums by playing three consecutive nights in various cities, with each night devoted to one album plus a mini set encore.

And so Trick fans, this one's for you.

Here is the Philly run.

Enjoy. The recordings are really fine audience grabs and the performances are stellar. If I am not mistaken, the band was expanded for this run and included  Roger Manning and Jason Falkner of Jellyfish, who also toured with CT in 2010 for their "Sgt. Pepper" creation.

Thanks, Sal. Believe it or not, I've never gotten into their first album. Blasphemy, I know, but figured I would listen to the live version here and see how it hit me.

Wow - thanks!! Loved that lineup w/Faulkner and Manning, and those set lists obviously.

Did you ever hear the Steve Albini mix of In Color?

Will have to check this out when I get back home! Thanks!

Guy,
I've heard the Albini mix and I like it. But this is even better:

This is "In Color" the way it is supposed to sound, remastered exclusively for Audio Fidelity by the genius Kevin Gray. All of the bottom, bright midrange and crunchy guitars that were missing from that thin original are here in spades without having to re-record the album.

It's not easy to find and not cheap when you do, but it is worth every penny.

Thanks for this cool gift, Sal! I'm about halfway through the first disc and loving it!
I haven't listened to a Kevin Gray remaster yet, so I will swallow hard and buy a copy of "In Color" to hear for myself.
