One of the best records I have listened to this week comes from our very own Buzz Baby Jesus. I will let him explain.
"Vaporwave
continues to interest me.
There
was a call for music for a live stream show on Twitch, another platform
I'd never heard of, so I submitted an ambient album I'd just finished. It went over with the 30 people tuned in and one was purchased on Bandcamp. A first.
My music isn't vaporwave, but I thought it could go over because it was different, and close enough.
I
was inspired to put together another album with this audience in mind. It
has all my newest material mixed with some older orphans I thought
would fit. I finished a couple tracks I'd started in 2012. Anyway, it received a lot of love.
"Dinner At Eight" has received over 6500 views so far."
Me
again. I know ambient music is not for everyone, but I got completely
lost in this record. There are stretches of absolute beauty, as well as
enough subtle twists and turns that kept me focused on the journey. I
hope you give some time to "Dinner At Eight" and allow it to unfold. It's a great piece of work
and it, along with BBJ's other records, are available here.

I look forward to hearing the entire piece. Thank you, BBJ.
But why does the Japanese title say "Dinner at 8:30"?
