Holy Man- Dennis Wilson/Cold Day In The Sun- Foo Fighters
The first two songs feature Taylor Hawkins who shockingly passed last week. The first is his vocal to an instrumental backing track found on deluxe editions of Dennis Wilson's "Pacific Ocean Blue" and the second is power pop perfection from the Foos "In Your Honor" record.

I Ain't Raisin' No Sand- The Staple Singers
This is one of my favorite Staples tracks. I hadn't thought about it in awhile but one of my record shelves collapsed right onto the "ST" section and I was reminded as a rescued about 50 albums from the wreckage.

When Do I Get To Sing "My Way"- Sparks
An encore presentation of this great track, as it was included on Friday's "Weekend Mix." This was the SOTD the morning after the performance.

So Goes Love- The Turtles
I was listening to Carole King's Legendary Demos and reading about this track. It was recorded by The Monkees for the first album and released years later as a bonus track. It was recorded by The Turtles but the single remained unissued until it appeared on their "Golden Hits" collection.

Where'er ye Go- Paul Weller
It took a few years, but I finally snagged a copy of "22 Dreams" on vinyl. On certain days, it is my favorite Paul Weller record and it has never been reissued. Original copies can fetch as much as $250, but I got very lucky. This track is a beauty.

The Sweetest Fruit- Corey Harris
"Daily Bread" is my favorite Corey Harris record. You can read a few words about it in the current "One Sentence Review." This track popped up on the iPod last week and I got so lost in it, I almost missed my stop on the subway.

Late to the party: I am L.O.V.I.N.G. 22 Dreams!
Why isn’t there a blog or individual who champions Paul Weller? LOL!!!
Thanks Sal for your persistence :)
