Finns On Vinyl

I would have preferred "Everyone Is Here," which I think is the best work from the Finns either together or apart, but a deluxe edition of "Finn" with 10 bonus tracks is still great news.

The band's website says July 29th for a release date, while Amazon is calling it October.

SuperDeluxeEdition says the vinyl is in July, with the CD to arrive "later". Maybe October is the target date for that.

Angels Heap and Suffer Never are 2 of my favorite Finn-related tracks, and this album is a great low-fi release. I'm looking forward to hearing the vinyl version!

Imagine if Capitol hadn't rejected the original submission of Crowded House's third album, and instead this Finn album contained Weather With You, It's Only Natural, Four Seasons In One Day,etc.

I too love Everyone is Here. Have you heard the Tony Visconti version? It's a rare thing to get to hear a side-by-side comparison of how two accomplished producers approach the same material with completely separate recordings. It's been a while since I heard them both. I seem to remember preferring a few of the TV tracks to the Mitchell Froom versions, but mostly liked the Froom more. There are a few fantastic songs not included on EiH, especially Way Back Down and The Land Torments the Sea (Sunset Swim is another good one).

@Guy
I've heard both but did not care for the Visconti version, though I agree, those non-LP tracks are excellent.

I am looking forward to this. Always (well usually!) interested in demo versions before producers get their hands on it. Ive also enjoyed the Finns outings on youtube during lockdown.

When I was digitizing my music collection before moving to Spain, I stumbled upon my long forgotten copy of Everyone is Here, and started listening to it again. It really is a great album.
