What It Is- Paul McCartney
Hadn't listened to "Run Devil Run" in ages and it really held up. This is due for a nice deluxe upgrade, maybe to include the Cavern Club show with David Gilmour, Mick Green and Ian Paice? Are you listening, Paulie?

Coquette- Fats Domino
Had to hear the original after hearing Paul's cover on "Run Devil Run."

Junko Partner- Dr. John
There are many covers of this song, but I think this may be my favorite.

Is Yours Is Mine- Gene Clark & The Gosdin Brothers
This album is just barely 28 minutes long. That may be why I never tire of it.

Lady Godiva- Peter & Gordon
A U.S. Top 10 for P&G in 1966, and one of a dozen songs that will always take me back to my Aunt's house in Far Rockaway. Just a few seconds in and I am immediately transported to Beach 44th Street. I guess you can enjoy it for its hooks and melody.

People Take Pictures Of Each Other- The Kinks
I listened to the Swedish edition of "Village Green..." which has an altered track list and a few alternate mixes. But for the life of me, I couldn't hear a difference in the mixes. Though I did enjoy hearing "Mr. Songbird" and "Days" instead of "Last Of The Steam-Powered Trains" and "All Of My Friends Were There." (But I missed "Big Sky" and "Sitting By The River.") I digress. Any Kinks diehards out there know what I should be listening for in these alt. mixes?

It's Time- Elvis Costello & The Attractions
"All This Useless Beauty" is a bit of a hodgepodge, with old and new songs, as well as  songs written with and for others. This does nothing to diminish the beauty of this record. Hadn't listened in some time and this sounded better than ever, especially this track. Not sure why this album isn't considered one of E.C.'s best.

A handful of Fats Domino singles were in the bundle given to me a hundred years or so ago & helped kick start my musical taste buds so anything by The Fat Man is fine with me. Re the Kinks vinyl, a Swedish post says "The stereo mixes of "Do You Remember Walter" and "People Take Pictures Of Each Other" were slightly different from the mono mixes" so that's cleared that issue up for you! Thanks for doing the zip up. Cheers!
