Phil Ochs Is Dead

This is the new single from a band called The No Ones, featuring Peter Buck, Scott McCaughey and on this track, Bangle Debbi Peterson. It sounds like six different Byrds songs all at once, and I have no problem with that. A new full length titled "My Best Evil Friend" is due on March 31st and you can pre-order it here.

Good stuff!

2023 looks promising for REM members with this new release featuring Peter Buck, as well as Bill Berry and the Bad Ends and Stipes upcoming solo album

Better than I expected, and you are spot-on with the Byrds reference. The post R.E.M. work of the various members has been disappointing. For example, Bill Berry's new band The Bad Ends.

Good song and right on with the Byrds description.

Jeez bout thirty seconds into it and I had to make a comment (hope that's not premature comment syndrome, always embarrassing). First impression is Roger (nee Jim) McGuinn got back to his Byrd days. whoever is singing sure has his vocal quality. Ok back to the tune.
Btw just glanced up at Steve Simels comment and I couldn't agree more.

also always like a song that makes want to get out the bass and play along.
And a real joy after the slog of listening to Journey / Toto last night. More later about that.

Really like this song! It doesn't even sound like a "new" one, which in these days of shit music can be a good thing.
