E STREET BAND 2023 TOUR REVIEW AND BLOGGER TEMPLATE

The first time (insert name) saw Bruce Springsteen was in 1975 in a club called (insert club name) in my home town of (insert city). My friend (insert friend's name) read about Bruce's live show and I needed to see it for myself. My life changed that night. I saw the future of rock and roll and his name was Bruce Springsteen. Over the next 40 years, me and (insert friend's name) saw Bruce over 100 times, in arenas and stadiums from (insert US state) to (insert European city) and every show was performed like it was Bruce's last. There is no greater live performer. Then came the pandemic of 2020.

Would Bruce ever perform live again? Will anyone?

I admit me and (insert friend) hadn't listened to any of Bruce's records since "The Rising," but that didn't matter. The idea, the real possibility of seeing the E Street Band live again was not looking good. The world seemed like it was coming to an end.

Then, as pandemic restrictions started to loosen up, Bruce announces a tour. I call (insert friend's name) immediately. "We're baaaack!"

Getting Bruce tickets has always been difficult, but both (insert friend's name) and I were thrown for a loop. What was happening? $975 for upper deck behind stage? $3000 for a floor seat? Bruce had decided to use Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing for the first time, causing ticket prices to skyrocket on demand.

What has he done? He has forsaken us. He was supposed to be about the people. Even Backstreets Magazine threw in the towel, shutting down the newsletter in protest.  (Insert friend's name) and I decided to sit out the tour. How could he? Friends of ours decided to sit out. None of us could afford it. Some were saying how they could no longer listen to the music that for 40 years meant the world to them. Bruce has poisoned the well.

By the end of the first two weeks of shows, the set lists have been unchanged. So let me get this straight, Bruce has marked up tickets 1000 percent and we have to sit through the same 28 songs including "Night Shift" every night? Our love affair with Bruce Springsteen is over. What has he done?

2023: BRUCE AT (INSERT ARENA). BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER SEEN AND I HAVE SEEN HUNDREDS!

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been a lapsed Springsteen fan.

The Brooklyn show was pretty darn good. I had lower expectations going in as I often do when my favorite artists are getting up there (as are we all), but was very much pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to MetLife in September. I hope he keeps the LTY songs in the set.
