Fun Motown B-Sides Of The 70's; Probably Not An Occasional Series

From a 1971 b-side on Motown's subsidiary label Rare Earth, this is Stoney & Meatloaf and their version of The Temptations hit "The Way You Do The Things You Do."

This record surprised me. I'm not a fan of Meat Loaf's voice. He certainly has the pipes, but I do think he overdoes it most of the time. He was the weak link, for my ears, of the "Bat Out Of Hell" album. But I really like this arrangement, which is something of a mash-up. I think you'll recognize the chords of the "other" song.

I’m with you on Meatloaf but I love this arrangement. Given the classic status of the original it would be a mean feat to cover it but this really works for me.

Pretty smokin’ version, this! Thanks for finding it, Sal…

Shaun Murphy's pipes are pretty respectable as well.
