Finally, Music By Someone Under 50 That I Love

I enjoyed Olivia Jean's debut "Bathtub Love Killings," but apparently not enough to realize she released a second album. But her third, "Raving Ghost" is a real winner.

Mrs. Jack White's new collection is a blast of memorable riffs and lovable hooks, sounding like The Shangri-Las mingling with The Cramps.

I played this one twice yesterday and it made an otherwise crapola day, just a bit better.

Check out Olivia Jean.

Thanks so much for your post. I find that there are few efficient ways to stay on top of good new music. In the old days I would read Creem and Circus magazine, the Village Voice - later Trouser Press. Your posts are a godsend. Thanks again.

Nice! It feels reassuring these days to hear new guitar rock - especially by a woman.

But you liked 1957 Tail Fin Fiasco! They’re under 50.

My dad had the same Canon super 8 camera, I borrowed it and made a trippy movie with friends, soundtrack by Zappa, Kinks and John Lennon.
Her music has the same kinda vibe.
