You've heard me go on about Stanton Moore, his drumming, his trio, New Orleans, and his live performances before. But here, now, you can see and hear for yourself. This is a short performance recorded for Offbeat Magazine's debut YouTube series, "The OnBeat Sessions," featuring David Torkanowsky on piano, James Singleton on bass and Stanton Moore on drums.
To paraphrase my friend Bobby, these guys are always amazing, but this particular performance is off the hook.
I hope you think so, too, because even after seeing this lineup at least a dozen times, I found this 16 minute set to be one of the most inspired.

Same trio that recorded Stanton's Conversations album, which is so damn good.

That's what it's all about. The "New Orleans Mambo", however, sounds like a Monk cover to me.
Good set!
Loved seeing him with Galactic when he came to the Jersey Shore!
@Christine,
That was the night I made you miss Squeeze the first time at the Stone Pony.
