Love Me- Willy & Ruth
Two years before the Elvis hit, Willy & Ruth recorded this not so subtle version of "Love Me." Love it!

Jealous Lover- Rainbow

An opening riff to die for, and the rest is pretty damn good, too.

Missing Person- Split Enz
"True Colours" is 45 years old, which makes that brilliant piece of pop, "I Got You" 45 years old. Jeez. Here's a deeper cut from the Finns.

If You Let A Man Kick You Once...- Corey Harris & Henry Butler

...he'll kick you two, three times! Word.

New Routine- Fountains Of Wayne

Not enough people love this record. I think "Traffic & Weather" is a much better collection than "Sky Full Of Holes," for these foru tracks alone--"This Better Be Good," "Michael & Heather, " "New Routine," & "I-95." Man, if this was 1984, those four tracks would have been the shit on MTV.

Walking On Air- King Crimson

Adrian Belew posted this on social media, so I needed to hear it. Might listen to all of "Thrak" today. Or tomorrow.

Turn The Lights Back On- Billy Joel

Haters gonna hate. That's okay. I think this is one fantastic record.

It was the third spin that won me over completely to the Billy Joel, which I was predisposed to like anyway.

I may never have heard a song by Rainbow in my life! Here I go....

We're in weird sync - I listened to Traffic and Weather and Thrak earlier this week, and True Colors yesterday. I saw the Thrak tour and thought Belew's singing in Walking On Air was sublime - it's when he became one of my favorite singers. That's an under appreciated part of his talent.

Every so often I get fascinated by certain sings, and New Routine was one of them a few years ago. By the way...I like Sky Fill of Holes, but even if you don't you should re-listen to Someone's Gonna Break Your Heart and Dip in the Ocean again, as those are as good as anything they ever recorded (imo).

To be clear, "Sky Full Of Holes" is terrific. Even FOW weakest is better than most artists' strongest. I just think "Traffic & Weather" is better.
