Crybaby- Utopia I Can Dream About You- Dan Hartman Play With Fire- Rickie Lee Jones Here Comes The Meter Man- The Meters Like Someone In Love- Charlie Rich Cold Rain- Irma Thomas Heaven's Falling- Cheap Trick
I'm only familiar with Dan Hartman's rock/pop material with Edgar Winter, and his first solo album, Images. I knew he veered off into a disco-ish direction, but never ventured with him. I just watched the YT video of his SOTD, and as it began, thought, "Sal, man, what where you thinking here?"
I should've had more confidence in you. As always, you come through with a sharp shot through a pulled-in infield. Wonderful 80's kitsch, wonderful song.
"I Can Dream About You" is indeed an indestructible pop single, off the absurd but somehow good soundtrack Streets of Fire. The movie is so misbegotten, but the soundtrack is B movie fun.

How is "Lemmy Entertain You " not the name of a Motorhead compilation?
Thank you!
Gotta say when Utopia does power pop like this one and, say, Lysistrata (amongst many others), they are at the top of that sub-genre.
