He could do no wrong on those first couple albums. Stone classics. I like Cisco Pike and Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore a lot too. He was a man. A real man. Brains and calluses. A man I wish I could have fucked.
Not the biggest fan admittedly, but more than a few of his songs, whether sung by him or others, resonate with me in there somewhere. Plus he always struck me as a genuine and sincere kind of bloke
