Clark Street- Elmer Bernstein
(I have been listening to some jazzy old film soundtracks, "Touch Of Evil," "Private Hell, 36," "Sweet Smell Of Success." This is a fine piece of music from "The Man With The Golden Arm.")
Reggatta De Blanc- The Police
(The new Sting/Snoop Dogg collab is quite good. Actually, I really enjoyed about half of the new Snoop album "Missionary." Seeing and hearing Sting made me put together a Police playlist, a band I haven't listened to in some time. Still love this one.)
Eles- Caetano Veloso
(I found about 15 Caetano Veloso albums on a hard drive. This is from his 1968 classic debut.)
No You Don't- Sweet
(First time I heard this song was on a Pat Benatar album, having not been a Sweet fan at the time. Pat does a great job. This original wins by a hair.)
Crash- Aerosmith
(This popped up on the iPod recently and I didn't recognize it. It's from "Nine Lives" and I had stopped paying full attention to Aerosmith by this time. This one is a solid rocker.)
In My Life Dub- The Pioneer All Stars
(What can I say? I am a sucker for this stuff.)
For Your Precious Love- The Rolling Stones
(The surprise of the week! This is from a bootleg called "Steel Wheels Sessions." Does anyone have it? If you do, can you send it to me? I can't find it anywhere. I love this cover and if the rest of the bootleg sounds this good, I need to hear more. Thank you in advance.)
