ICYMI

Recorded soon after Linda McCartney's passing, here are Ian Paice, Mick Green, Dave Gilmour with a guitar solo that will make you melt, and Paulie, giving one of his best and most heartbreaking vocal performances of his long and quite successful career, on a cover of the Ricky Nelson hit, "Lonesome Town."

A quite successful career, indeed.

Yes, nice solo from David - I'd love to hear him break away from his usual Floyd-ish licks and lighten up a bit by doing a rock and roll or rockabilly recording. It would be nice to hear something different from him.

Randy, that entire live show is Paul doing rock and roll covers, basically the "Run Devil Run" album. So Gilmour does break out...a bit.

Underrate as a singer, IMO. Remember seeing the documentary/special about the performance of the album...pretty great.

And that band was good, too!

"Run Devil Run' is such a good album. IMO, Macca's cover of "No Other Baby" is one of his finest efforts and the performance from the aforementioned documentary/special is especially good:
