Seriously, what the hell?
It's 2016 all over again.
Well, what can I say? That first Nick Lowe produced Damned album is unquestionably a punk rock, Top Ten of all time. And the three that followed are pretty damn great, too, even though Brian James was gone by "Machine Gun Etiqutte" and the truly under appreciated "Strawberries."
But again, what the hell?
I'm done writing obituaries.
Listen to "Neat Neat Neat" and "New Rose" really fucking loud!
R.I.P., Brian.

Don't forget his excellent second act, with Stiv Bator's second act,. The Lords Of The New Church.
You're absolutely right.
hpunch, you're right; completely forgot he was in Lord of the New Church. Very under appreciated artist
That first album is a classic
Blergh. Right there with erik above
I settled down to watch Black Doves on Netflix the other night. It was weird seeing Rat Scabies steal the first episode.
Seems like only yesterday I was excitedly clutching my New Rose 7 inch and jamming it down on the Dansette, soon to be followed by the classic Neat x3. Thought he'd passed way too young when I heard the news then realised the singles were 1976. Blimey! RIP mate.
