I have a very early start on Sunday morning, so I'm getting this out to you while I had the time.

I dig all of these tracks. Actually, I dig every song of the day. It's why I choose them.

A FEW NOTES:

Culture's "Two Sevens Clash" is a reggae essential, but "International Herb" from 1979 is a favorite, as well.

I listened to Boz's "Down Two, Then Left" last week. It never had a chance following "Silk Degrees," but I think it is a damn good record that deserves revisiting. This was the first single, if memory serves.

Peter Green absolutely shines on "The Supernatural."

It's been a while since I played some Chris Price. I forgot how much I loved his solo records. All three are worth your time, if you're in the mood for some pop perfection.

And speaking of pop perfection, when was the last time you heard "World Shut Your Mouth?" It's been years for me. This one sounded really good loud.

And I finally found a Nicole Atkins song I like, and maybe you will too.

We close things out with a Todd Rundgren/Kasim Sulton duet, one of my faviorite Utopia songs of all time. This track kicks ass.

Enjoy the zip.

I always liked Down 2, but very few artists are able to successfully follow up a monster seller.

Extremely thoughtful of you to hook us up with so many listening choices between this playlist and Now Playing.
I’ve always enjoyed those early Julian Cope and Teardrop Explodes albums. Lost track of him following 1994’s Autogeddon, so appreciate the callback.
Also, big fan of all things Chris Price, thanks to your introduction years earlier.
Thank you for all you do, sir. Wishing you a great adventure! Namaste:)

You mentioned Down Two The Left and I went back to it and Middle Man recently and they are both good. But just about everything he did was great, with the exception being the disappointing Other Roads. One weak one out of nineteen is one heck of a track record. Saw him live with Melissa Manchester (!) opening a million years ago. Cleveland Jeff

I've got Chris Price's last two albums, but am not familiar with his first - nice track you included.

Culture, Cope, and Green all good listens.

Glad you finally found a Nicole tune to tap your toe to!

Good start to next week's SOTW with Johnnie Allan.

"Hard Times" is a great song. Time to revisit "Down Two Then Left". It's been a while.

Very nice Sal -- thanks!

If I understood more about music, neuroscience, memory, ... I would marvel how Boz Scaggs still lights up the synapses every time!

Ah, Julian Cope...his imagination could overwhelm, but man, he has some amazing music, so well worth going down a rabbit hole.

For me, "Beautiful Love" is just wonderful.
