Hot off the presses, here are the first two tracks from the forthcoming Black Crowes record, "A Pound Of Feathers" due in March.
If memory serves, we've got some readers who are fans and some who are not. I'm a fan and I dig both tracks. Plus, I am thrilled a new record is coming so soon after "Happiness Bastards," which was a fantastic return to form.

Been a huge TBC fan since they released their debut album. What a great way to start the new year.
Dang, man! Profane Prophecy: It's like guitar rock is back! Rumors of its disappearance are ...
Seriously, this sounds great and really scratches an itch. I mean, it's got Cowbell!
I feel a bit like I did when The Darkness's first record came out - this sounds fun, and that's a big lift these days.
Pharmacy Chronicles: sounds like a cousin to the phase of the Stones I like most of all - the slower songs on Beggars Banquet with Brian Jones on slide, and with a little bit of a country twang.
I always wished the Stones would have stuck with that sound more ... but maybe Brian dying put an end to new songs in that style, for the most part.
Great shares. I love the sound of both of these.
Here's to you Misters Robinson! Jesus loves you more than you will know...woah woah woah!
Only recently caught up with "Happiness Bastards" and I agree -- it's a barn burner! "Rats And Clowns", "Bedside Manners", "Flesh Wound", "Cross Your Fingers" and "Dirty Cold Sun" are VICIOUS.
Excellent Headline..
