One More Day Of This Shit (The Year, Not the Blog)

Whatever you do tonight, do it safely, do it with a smile, and let's kiss this piece of shit year goodbye!

I have two mixes for tonight. I haven't decided which should be played first. Each seems to work as an early evening or late evening playlist. You decide. Just listen and play them loud.

See you tomorrow at Coney Island, for breakfast at Nathan's and a swim with the Polar Bears. You'll recognize me. I'll be the one furthest from the water.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

With regards to 2009, hopefully The Beatles' "..it couldn't get much worse." applies and there's no where to go but up.

Thanks for all the music and have an inevitably better 2010.

Have a great new year over there.

I'm with you, I'll happily kick 2009 goodbye and it has probably been the most miserable decade imaginable for most.
New decade, new hope, truth and beauty will out.

Paul Revere & the Raiders?!? Moody's Mood for Love? Damn fine stuff you're bringing -- must be that Ornette and '69 Dead swirling around.

OK -- so i listened to '2009' Out With the Old. A little sad thematically -- no? In the old days would have been accompanied by a bottle of Johnny Walker Black, a land line, and the wee small hours. But, because we live differently today, I listened doing some much needed 2010 cardio at the gym. I was told that under no circumstances would there be crying on the treadmill!
(Actually just finished it while walking by the Apollo, so there's your thematic hook . . .)
