Hating The Kinks, Just For A Day
At 2:47 A.M., I was shocked out of my sleep by something that sounded like a gun shot. After a minute or two of remaining frozen in one position, I got up and turned on a light. Not sure what I was looking for or what I would find, I slowly came out of my sleep, which by the way, never comes easy for me. It is now 2:55 and I see a piece of artwork had dropped off the wall like a sack of cement. Mystery solved, except that for the next 2 hours, I lied awake in bed, wired, with this fucking song playing over and over and over in my head.
(It could have been worse. It could have been that keyboard lick from "Come Dancing.")

I have never understood why so many people, including Kinks fans --hell, particularly Kinks fans -- dislike this song.
There, I've said it.
I absolutely do NOT hate this song. I just didn't need it in my head from 3-5 AM. It could have been "Waterloo Sunset," I still would have preferred sleeping.
Was that an actual video? Just random clips thrown together? Could they have tried any less? Super-awful.
Meanwhile, Sal, for the remainder of the day, maybe you should just work on the "Take a Nap" mix...
Wow, that piece of artwork must have been as heavy as a jar of peanut butter to make that type of noise Sal.
I know you're a big fan of the Kinks from shopping at your store but what are your top five Kinks songs?
Ryland Elliott Andreu

1. Waterloo Sunset

does anyone else see the resemblance between ray davies and soupy sales?...if you removed the audio from the "superman" vid and substituted "the mouse", you would see it right away...
