"Elvis & The Roots At The Brooklyn Bowl" : THE WEEKEND MIX

Since the Elvis/Roots record has gone over like a lead balloon with the majority of readers, it's only fitting that I conclude this week with this fabulous show from Monday evening. Please (try to) enjoy what is supposedly the only live performance of Elvis Costello & The Roots, Live from the Brooklyn Bowl. I think it's pretty darn fantastic.

Thanks to Mimi for the pic and to Marie for good vibes and to all who offered suggestions and support on how to keep this ball rolling.

Please let me know this works out. This is only a test.

Fan-tastic. Sal thank you for your perseverance through a difficult time. I love the new format,it is easier, for me,to listen to the songs individually. Phil

Thanks Sal.

People might be interested in the Times' review of the show

A few self important big words notwithstanding (am I really supposed to know what "plangent voice" means?) it is a pretty good write up.

I'm digging the album but it is one of those that takes time, effort and repeated listenings. Sometimes I fear my attention span is getting so short these days that if a song doesn't grab me in a the first few seconds I'm clicking the skip button. My bad not elvis or the Roots'!

I Found Out brought a little tear.

Track by track sounds great, but I am getting the little bit of dead air between tracks . . . .
If all other conditions remain the same, I would opt for the download whole scenario. Allows me to store, archive and listen at will.
