"WILB2": THE WEEKEND MIX

You don't have to be Leibniz to figure this one out. I know I've done the Wilbury Twist before, but with all the talk about McCartney and Dylan, as well as George Harrison's birthday this week, my head just fell into that place. Let's face it, my head has been in that place since 1966. Apologies to those who wanted something else, but it is a good listen, if you want it. Only two repeats from the previous compilation.

Please enjoy.

Very cool mix -- playing as I type. Thanks Sal.

Speaking of one of the Wilburys ... I seem to be having more fun these days reading about Dylan rather than listening to the new record. This piece from the Uncut archives is great!

Have a great weekend and stay warm!

I can never get enough of this! Thanks for the bit of sunshine as we are nearing the end of Feb. March cannot come quick enough even if it comes in as a lion! I miss George more and more as time goes on.

And late to the party, I did not think McCartney's performance on SNL 40 was as bad as many are saying. I wish he'd learn to use his lower register, work that more. It's there for him. He is just singing too high at this point.

BTW- I know I'm late part II, thanks for introducing me to Kami Thompson and The Rails. I've found what I've been looking for!

Kami's version of one my favorite George songs, "Don't Bother Me" is a revelation for me. I love when a cover makes me love it and and then illuminates the original too. And I'm really enjoying "Family" featuring the whole insanely talented clan.

Enjoy the weekend.

Have a good weekend.

That's got to be the first time Leibniz has had a name check in any music mix. He'd be delighted, I'm sure. Another god, uplifting mix to kick off my weekend, many thanks. Listening earlier to a G Harrison boot which had Joe Walsh & Gary Moore on the same bill - a different sort of Wilburys that would've been. Thanks again & have a happy safe one!
