Last month, Mojo ran a piece about two brothers from Hicksville, who were set to drop a debut record for 4AD. It was described as music for "fans of Todd Rundgren and Foxygen" and a "heavenly, audacious conflagration of magical mystery Beatles, Nilsson and Head-era Monkees."
Really Mojo?
Of course, I both couldn't wait to hear it and didn't believe a word of the same ol' British hype.
"Do Hollywood" drops on October 14th. After hearing the first two lead tracks and seeing the above performance on The Tonight Show, I can say unequivocally, Mojo nailed it. I honestly cannot recall a new record by a new artist I have been this excited over.

I think maybe you are right! Boy that androgynous drummer liked Keith Moon, eh? Nice twirling - and he's a great drummer. They're all great. Sal, you still got it.
Frankly, I hear more Big Star.
I always say, if I like the drums, and believe the voice, I'll probably like it. Check.
That kid is a fantastic drummer. They got it. You're right.
Damn! Them Twigs is TIGHT! I'll be lookin' for this album for sure! Tks, Sal.
I'm totally onboard! Apparently the brothers switch instruments as well. Looking for tour dates while a wait for the album. Thanks Sal!

Fantastic! Thanks for the great recommendation. I'm hearing bits and pieces of even things like Steely Dan and Yes and Zappa. Fun stuff!
I share your excitement
I've added these 2 songs in Apple Music and listened to them numerous times today. They keep getting better. Can't wait. Haven't been this pumped fro new stuff since Field Music.
There are live videos and the drummer is just as good as a frontman while the frontman is just as good on drums. JeeZ thetre may be hope for rock n roll yet.
wow great right down to the Hello People outfit on the drummer
