Oh Lonesome Me

You probably know this song from Neil Young's "After The Gold Rush".

I really like Neil's interpretation, and it's one of the few songs he recorded and didn't write.
Don wrote it, this is the original, and that's Chet Atkins on guitar.
He's also responsible for such country standards as "Sweet Dreams", and "I Can't Stop Loving You".
In 1967 Roy Orbison recorded "Roy Orbison Sings Don Gibson".

I had known this song for so long from After the Gold Rush that I was taken aback when heard the original. Such a different feeling. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the share, BBJ! Read that ‘I Can’t Stop Loving You’ was the B-Side to ‘Oh Lonesome Me’ - that’s got to be one of the great 45s ever!
