BTW, Sal -- this comment you made in yesterday's Billie Eilish post?

"...a half dozen or so confessions set to mostly unimaginative music."

That's the most succinct critique of a) most Taylor Swift records and b) pretty much all the rest of commercial pop at this sad moment in history, and I plan to steal it a lot.

Hey Pal,
I've heard you only steal from the best, so steal away.
:)

And maybe leave that comment on the Billie or Taylor post. I need all the help I can get.

Wayne could do no wrong at this point. But I like the stuff he did with McCoy and Elvin even better.

My dear departed uncle was into jazz and turned me on to it. Digging jazz in my high school was like being in a secret society. But the few who did were a motley bunch. When my uncle passed on, I inherited his extensive jazz collection. I'm not worthy. Really. But it's a part of him I treasure.

Billie Eilish and most of that Gen Z shit doesn't exactly carve deep blue ripples in the tissues of my mind. Another one I don't get is Lizzy McAlpine. Yet they play big venues like the Forum and the Greek.

Just went out to dinner. En route to Kate Hudson at the Bellwether. Just curious.
