What do we have here? A serviceable basic track, a heartfelt vocal by one of rock's greatest, a timeless and timely message... what's not to like? Less is more: apply and repeat endlessly...
This may be from the 2021 50th Anniversary Edition of John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. It's very similar, if not. Instant Karma (take 5).
Nice to hear sans Phil Spector fuckwithery. My fave single by Lennon. Love Alan White's deliberately sloppy drums. Raw and loose. More instant than what got released. Looks even better naked.

Love the "Twist and Shout" vocals
Fantastic.

Wow, what a treat. So much personality in that vocal, but not in some performative way -- it's just so him, through and through.
Thanks for poasting!

Good karma!
Damn - I almost feel like he should have just left it this way! LOVE it!
It's nice to hear like this, but Spector's 'fuckwithery' made it an all-timer, so I'm glad JL loved him some PS.
