Not Bad For A Tuesday

"And coming in as probably one of the top five power-pop albums of the year is The John Sally Ride’s A New Set Of Downs. John Dunbar, Sal Nunziato, and honest-to-god pow-pop royalty Sal Maida (Roxy Music, Sparks, Cracker, Milk ‘n Cookies, and much more) funnel crunchy rockers, Kinks-esque Brit Pop, and everything in-between into a record that, once it starts, is hard to turn off. I suppose I’m saying this is a traditional pop-rock record that would have been right at home in ’68-’75, but there’s hardly a minute on A New Set Of Downs that doesn’t pay off.
Catch up with The John Sally Ride here and here."

It's all true. Better get to work on the next one. One thing that makes JSR so good is that it isn't too long. It's just right.

Wow, I totlly missed this - didn't know you're in this band. I will check it out! Have you shared a video or one of the songs here previously? If so, I missed it...

A Walk In The Woods,

I was afraid I was posting too much about the record! I even placed a permanent link where the Song Of The Day is for at least a month.

NY Mag posted their list of the best albums (so far) of 2017. So of course I had to respond via Twitter that they missed a bunch like Hurray for the Riff Raff, Benjamin Booker, Jesus & Mary Chain, Paul Weller and of course, the John Sally Ride!
