Limits To Love- 'Til Tuesday
The B-Side of the first single from the "Everything's Different Now" record, and a much better song than the A-Side, though the A-side ain't bad.

Safe In My Garden- The Mamas & Papas
There was a Facebook "Battle Of The Best Mamas & Papas Song" thread, and our PowerPop pal Steve Simels tossed out this gem, which somehow...I DID NOT RECOGNIZE! And MAN, it just might be my new favorite.

I Can Love You- Badfinger
There was a Facebook "Battle Of The Best Badfinger Song" thread, and I tossed "We're For The dark" into the ring, but then pal and JSR bassist Sal Maida suggested this gem from "Ass," which somehow...I DID NOT RECOGNIZE!  I like "We're For The Dark" more, but this is a new fave.

We Love You- Rolling Stones
Felt like hearing it.

Million Miles Away- Tim Christensen & The Damn Crystals
Finally found this baby on vinyl and it did not cost triple digits. In honor of filling that gap without putting a hole in my wallet, here is this track.

This Better Be Good- Fountains Of Wayne
Felt like it hearing it.

A Better World- The Monkees.
For Peter Tork, R.I.P.

I'm thinking alot about The Monkees this week.

As a kid I loved the TV show and I knew it was silly. Now, as an old man, I dig the music so much!

Youth is wasted ... and all that!

Another comment -- not that it fits here but because the side bar isn't working for me.

Jackie Shane died this week. One of those music stories that blow my mind.

Black trans southerner who had this huge following in Toronto in the 60s (which was so unhip people used to go to Buffalo for the weekend!)

Nice obit in the Times:

And the recent retrospective -- Any Other Way -- is really good, wonderful liner notes, and was nominated for a Grammy.

Thank you for listening to my TED Talk!

Tim Christensen is always a welcome addition to any playlist. The Peter Took track was lovely. Nice call. Just how great a song is "This Better Be Good". Hadn't heard it in a while. My bad; won't happen again. Time for a FoW binge.

Badfinger. Fountains of Wayne. The Mamas & Papas. Those three are worth the price of admission alone. And a nice gesture to have a Monkees track too. Cheers!

Tha Bad finger song is a gem really stripped back which I have not heard of from this band.
