This song features one of the all time great endings...and a pretty damn great prior 4 minutes.
Aardvark- Very Nice Of You To Call
Formed in Canterbury, some time in the 1960's, Aardvark's original four piece line-up included Paul Kossoff and Simon Kirke, who bailed to join Free before the band could record their only record as a three piece, forgoing a guitar player altogether. It was released on Deram in 1970, and you can buy an original MONO copy for only $775. Or of course, listen for free with a few keystrokes. I love this track.
Heart Shaped Bruise- Elvis Costello & Emmylou Harris
From "The Delivery Man," another in a series of fantastic left turns by Elvis that caused the loss of a few more fans. Go and revisit, or visit once if you gave up at "Imperial Bedroom."

Played this one to death when "Emancipation" was released and I can't recall playing it since...until now after finally getting the recently released 6 LP boxed set.

Wow, I hadn't heard about a reissue of Emancipation - I've been too caught up in the 1999 reissue! (which is SO boss)
What do you think about Emancipation as a whole? That's right around the point I departed the Prince Star Cruiser for a while, letting it bounce around a few distant stars without me... did I miss out?

Nice - OK, maybe I'll just download those tracks (some of which I have) to put together a pared-down version of it.
the second disc of Emancipation is the one I played to death when it came out, just for The Holy River climax, but now I go back to the first and third discs more often. they have their own personalities.
Fear is a great Cale album, and that first song is one of his finest. Live, even on solo piano, it's a show-stopper.
