Rock & Roll Is Alive- Prince
I only just found out that this track, one of my very favorite Prince b-sides, was released as an A-side on a limited edition purple 45, backed with another of my favorite Prince deep cuts, "Calhoun Square" and given out at Minnesota Timberwolves basketball game in 2019. Anyway, it's the little things, ya know?

Stomp- Brothers Johnson
This was a leftover from last week, when I talked about great 70's radio playing both Humble Pie and Tavares back to back. This was another summer time fave.

Weed Bus- The Stairs
Always loved this track, and thanks to my inadvertent posting of a demo and M_Sharp catching it, I now know that there is a 3CD deluxe version of the "Mexican R&B" album from which it comes. This is the plain old regular version.

Oh What A Thrill- Chuck Berry
First heard this one on the Rockpile album and assumed it was a Chuck classic. Turns out, it was released only a few months earlier on Chuck's 1979 album, "Rock It." Those Rockpilers work fast!

Let Me Just Follow Behind- Bette Midler
Written by Moogy Klingman, some help on the arrangement and vocals by Todd Rundgren, this one seems perfect these days.

These Days- Wyldlife
And speaking of these days, local heroes and faves of Little Steven's Underground Garage, write what might be their best track yet, and they slap it on a b-side. How typically punk of them.

Missing You- The Merry Go Round
Got into an Emitt Rhodes binge after watching a documentary called "The One Man Beatles," courtesy of my friend John. Seek it out, if you're a fan.

Oh man, this looks really good. Hearing "Stomp" again takes me right back to being 9 or so and just listening to the radio all the time... I remember hearind this song all the time in the late 70s as I listened to the radio late at night trying to fall asleep...

Hope you are well and safe, Sal, and same to all the visitors to this site.

One more thing... that Prince song is the absolute bomb. One of my favorites. And you mentioned Calhoun Square... you included that on the Weekend Mix back on Feb 7 2014, and it's made it onto several Prince mixes of mine since then.

I would have thought that Chuck Berry song was 20 years older than that. The more you know...
