Sal - on what album did you find that Duck Feathers selection? Nice comp!

@pmac,
It's a Charles Fambrough record called Blues At Bradley's. I could listen to Ricky Sebastian's drum intro forever. The song runs 15 minutes on the CD, but I figured that would be pushing it since jazz doesn't go over well here. I edited it down to 4 minutes.

"D" looks like one of your best letter mixes yet.

Thx, Sal! Love, Ricky. And, Fambrough is one bad ass bassist.

Fantastic comp, Sal. Thanks. A few familiar favourites here (Beach Boys, Lovin' Spoonful and Nappy Brown), plus I'm looking forward to hearing 'Duck Feathers' and being introduced to the others I haven't heard before.

I'm already planning ahead. Who will make the cut for E? And J??? J should be a good one. :)
You've got me looking at my iTunes and scrolling down alphabetically on songs to see what I'd pick.

Always love going through these lists and learning about new gems that I wouldn't otherwise come across like "Duck Feathers" and "Dark Water" and also be reminded of awesome cuts that are in the library like "Don't Hang Up" and that aren't in the library such as "Do What You Like". I've really got to add my Foreigner CDs. I really liked them but I don't think they get the credit they deserve.

@cmealha
I'm glad you said that about Foreigner. Like so many bands, including Cheap Trick, and to some degree Queen, Foreigner is remembered for their biggest hits. And like CT and Queen, Foreigner's biggest hits aren't exactly their best.

Yeah, I remember their albums being really solid. Time to get reacquainted.

I'm not a fan of Lou Gramm's voice (Ian Anderson, however, is a major major fan!) or Foreigner in general, but I liked some of their singles, especially Blue Morning Blue Day, Double Vision, and Fool For You Anyway. Actually, I don't think the last one was a single, after all, but it's a great song, well covered by Ben E. King with Average White Band, too.
