'K thanks...seriously
anytime you can feature a song from the excellent and frequently overlooked Rough Mix by Pete townshend and Ronnie Lane is a good thing.
Wonderful Sal -- Many Thanks!
These days we all need moments of fun like this mix.
Have a great weekend. Wash your hands!
This looks like a great set of tunes. Thanks, Sal. Enjoy your weekend.
Nice one! Some unknowns (to me) mixed in with some old faves like good old Lynott. And that Plant/Krauss album keeps growing on me. Anyhow, looking forward to giving this a blast over the weekend. Have a good one. Cheers!
Good one Sal!
I had to DL the set. Anyone with King's Call and Kickin' Child on their playlist already has superior taste in music. Thank you!
Keep Your Hands On The Wheel!!!
Killer! I am so tempted to mimic this approach to a playlist. I mean, it's alphabetical and seems obvious, but it's a fun way to randomly toss stuff together and then choose with care what pops up. But again, X!! What the hell will you do with X? I fear for you....
Excellent, thanks! I was not aware of Kip Anderson's original, and Roy Wood is always welcome.
Krazy!
I've yet to be sold on Hall & Oates, Todd Rundgren, XTC, NIN, and other faves of this here blog (you did make some headway with your Queen comp back in November 2018), but I've really liked all the Lynott and Thin Lizzy things I've heard. I see, in scouring your past posts, that you've done a lot of Lizzy/Lynott posts, but links have expired. Any chance of you either doing a new comp, or reviving past ones?

"I've yet to be sold on Hall & Oates, Todd Rundgren, XTC, NIN"
OUCH! Toss in Dr. John, why doncha!
I'd be happy to reup any link you need, just tell me which, CinCALI
Man, I was concerned you'd be bent by my build-up to the ask, but know that we share a fandom of early X, Beatles, Slim Harpo and T Rex. I bet there're lots more -- I've just gleaned those from comments. And 'Walk On Gilded Splinters' is one of the spookiest recordings ever, so you're not going to find me insulting the dearly-deceased Doctor. I also own songs by H & O and NIN, and albums by XTC and TR (Utopia), so it's not a total loss!
Anyhoo, the post you had on 2.18.11 had a lot of material, so that'd be a good'un.
By the by, in looking over your past posts I saw so many goddamn things that I had to read -- I came to BW in only the last few years -- so curse you, sir, for distracting me from work. And don't go away!

Okay, you're all set, C. The Lizzy/Lynott Zip is up and working.
And I was only bent in the best possible way!
Oh, I knew that, the OUCH and 'why doncha!' told me you were chuckling. Thanks in advance for the re-up!
