I hadn't played The Tubes "Remote Control" in ages. Probably the best Todd Rundgren & Utopia album that isn't billed as Todd Rundgren & Utopia.

My bud Sal Maida played a version of this track by Gerry Marsden on his radio show last week. I had no idea that cover existed and I barely remembered that the Bee Gees version was a bonus track on the expanded version of their debut.

Early Sun Ra, when he was still making crazy and unconventional doo wop records. This one came to me many years ago when NRBQ covered it.
Permanent Vacation- Aerosmith
This album was the first to explode after the very dark down years of Tyler and Perry. It still holds up and this track has always been a favorite. Aerosmith still had the ability to make fun records. Then, they called Diane Warren.

Nice little mix.
I left Aerosmith after Rocks. Other than what I've heard on the radio, which hasn't been much, I have no idea what they sound like in later years. Diane Warren - funny, funny!

Late to the party on this but many thanks for the zipped up job. It was with the Permanent Vacation album that a chum of mine tried to force me to like Aerosmith - he stopped short of beating me about the head and shoulders with it but, hey, there you go. Cheers!
