Damn, this looks really good... a lot of songs I've never heard of, even after all these years!
George Harrison may be the most "hiding in plain sight"/underrated Rock God ever. I mean, we all know his 7 Beatles songs and a few hits later. But even many of us Beatles fans, I would wager, remain in the dark about a lot of his work. We just take him for granted.
Also - Yoko has maintained a pretty well-done campaign of keeping John in the public eye, through strategic reissues, etc.... but nobody seems to be doing that for George. Of course they're reissued All Things Must Pass, which I love. But for instance, that one CD of "Demos" they put out about 8 years ago - it came and went without a splash, and it's amazing.
Somebody needs to curate his catalog a bit more. Maybe... Sal?
Well worth waiting an extra day for. Thanks, Sal.
Just wonderful!
And that picture ... damn, they were just kids!
Thanks Sal
I'm pretty sure I purchased Ron Wood's first album after you posted his version of Far East Man as the SOTD. Thanks for that tip. This is the first time that I have heard GH's version of it. All good. joe
Thank you so much for George.
It's always a great way to either start the day or end the day.
Stay Safe And Healthy!
From a fellow Pisces fish, thank you for the George mix. Always a comfort. And speaking of comfort: “Anyway, there is one thing I have learned and that is not to dress uncomfortably, in styles which hurt: winklepicker shoes that cripple your feet and tight pants that squash your balls. Indian clothes are better.”– George Harrison.
Thanks, Sal! Here's one of my favorite George Harrison performances:

78?! And he was the baby of the group.
I'm just sorry I never met George only to have him break out the ukulele and offer me one of his spares so I could play along. Thanks for the mix.
Nicely compiled, sir! A nice start to my sunny Sunday morning. Many thanks.
I have been having a bit of a George fix this past week, so your comp was very timely.
His music is a thing of beauty, so spiritually filled, with a very light touch.
I really enjoyed your selection.
Thank you Sal.
