Miss Barbara Lynn

One year ago yesterday, the terrific reissue label Light In The Attic label had a pandemic fundraiser with home performances by some of their roster and their friends. I stumbled upon this while scrolling through Instagram. LITA has posted all of the performances on their YouTube page for the one year anniversary.

I've written about the amazing Barbara Lynn a number of times, usually after seeing her fiery performances in New Orleans, either at Jazz Fest or where she is at regular headliner at the Ponderosa Stomp. But this really takes the cake. I found this mesmerizing.

Really sweet! Has she ever played in the NYC area?

Capt.Al,
She must have played on some oldies/stomp show here in NYC, but if I've seen her live six times, it was always in New Orleans. I don't recall seeing her here.
