The recent Bleachers track with Bruce Springsteen did nothing for me. This new single, on the other hand, is pure joy. It reminds me of a number of songs, a couple from the 60's and a couple from the 80's, but for the life of me, I can't tell you which.

I don't want to say Chinatown (the one with Bruce) is Ishtar but it didn't catch me at all.
This one -- Stop Making It Hurt -- is great fun!
Thanks Sal
The video just adds to the fun. He's like a spastic David Byrne without the rhythm.
Definitely ear candy. In terms of influences, I am going with Welcome to New York by Taylor Swift.
Excellent!!
Fantastic!!
Love this song. Bonus points for the great video
The controversial Mr. Anonymous here (maybe some day I'll make up a name)... I mentioned the new Lindsey Buckingham elsewhere and when I was listening to this Bleachers song again here today, I suddenly connected the dots from "Stop Making This Hurt" to the USC Marching Band on "Tusk" by Fleetwood Mac. That's on top of the Talking Heads vibe. Oh my... then there's the thread between Buckingham and Crowded House (which I also mentioned elsewhere). Everything is interconnected.
I like this song a lot more than Chinatown.
If you're in the area, The Hot Dog House is only about a mile south on Route 17 from Bendix Diner.
