Quintron and Miss Pussycat

When Sal goes to New Orleans and Jazz Fest, Quintron and Miss Pussycat are probably not on the top of his must-see list. I don't remember how I found them, probably around 2008, and I'd mostly forgotten all about them until yesterday, when I was brainstorming ideas for today's post. That they are based in New Orleans, and apparently participating in Jazz Fest this Saturday entirely fits the bill. I wanted to welcome Sal home with something connected to his trip.

They occupy a space somewhere between Lux and Ivy of The Cramps, and Meg and Jack of The White Stripes. They're a super weird and kooky Art couple I'm glad to see still at it. They remind me of some of my friends. I'm sure they know how to throw a party.

From 2008:

Their latest, from 2020.

The opener:

Where's Karen?:

The title track:

The more you dig, the deeper the rabbit hole.

I think the world is a better place with kooky weirdness of Mr Quintron and Miss Pussycat in it. And where else would they be but New Orleans?

 Welcome home, Sal!

First BBJ, thanks for all you've done while I was away. Absolutely stellar!

My very first time in New Orleans, I saw Quintron & Miss Pussycat perform. Just one more piece of the the puzzle that makes me love that city so.
