Buried somewhere amidst all of the wonderful comments of support on yesterday's post, I mention how I might have overreacted. Sometimes you just need one thing to push you over the edge. Well, I had about four things. One that pushed me over the edge, and three more that fell right on top of me. It makes little sense to take it out on you. I just needed to regroup.
If you're confortable reading and not commenting, please continue to do what you enjoy. I don't think a "like" button would make things any better, though one has potential to make things worse. But I thank you for the suggestions and the encouragement.
I have something lined up for tomorrow and I will get the Song of The Day, as well as all of the sidebar extras back on track. Apologies for the Lana Turner impression. And thanks again.

Glad to hear it, Sal, and glad you're feeling better.
Good
Well, alrighty then. 😎
Dear Sal,
I rarely comment, but that does not mean that I do not enjoy your posts - in fact I do big time!
Would be a pleasure to further detect new sound and music via your blog.

Well, just like your sharing has caused me to seek out more music, your reference to Lana Turner made me go look up info on her life.
Inspired by that, I'm nominating you for "Comeback Of The Year"....get your tux ready!
The whole thing is - you have to do what you feel is right (which you kinda already do by exposing people to music that they may never hear, or in some cases WANT TO). for me, i'm now on the damn computer (for work) so much of the day, that i rarely hit the music blogs that i used to (and when i do, it seems more & more infrequent). i'm not sure if saying 'i'm sorry' will cut it, but am sure there are other folks (who truly enjoy your 'spot') that would 'hit' the 'like button' if they remembered AND, are 'sorry' they haven't told you.....
for me, despite differing on your opinion of certain artists/music - your comments have always been a breath of fresh air and hope you continue (whether i think amy winehouse sucks or not)! gmb
Thanks for sticking in there, and happy you are continuing to share your writing and music appreciation. I've been introduced/reintroduced to quite a few artists by through your efforts.
And to quote an very relevant lyric for our time...."always look on the bright side of life" (my preference is for the Nilsson version)
I was JOKING when I said Daniel Lanois was a better producer than Todd Rundgren! But thank goodness we'll get the rest of your singles list and all the other great recommendations and commentary even if putzes named Michael sometimes throw a spanner in the works.
I just saw this and yesterday's post. I'm so glad you changed your mind. I have no idea how many people read your blog but I really enjoy it. Once it a while I get distracted and might forget to check in but generally I try to read it everyday. However much you want to post we appreciate it and look forward to it. We can all tell how much thinking about music and expressing those thoughts means to you. It means a lot to us too. I like your style. This is the only music blog I read. As a natural introvert I'm not prone to commenting much. Seems like from the comments on these two posts many of your readers are like that. Also, a lot of the time instead of downloading the zip I'll just hit YouTube to check out this song or that you are writing about. I have gotten some great zips from you in the past and thank you very much for that too. This is a really nice blog and you do a great job at it. Many artists and albums I hadn't considered are now favorites due to burning wood. If that was your goal you accomplished it. We all hope you don't stop but of course we wish you the best regardless of how much longer we get to read it. Thanks again Sal!
I'm glad you've changed your mind but but I'd respect your decision regardless. Got to make yourself happy and if BW wasn't making you happy then your initial reaction was right. Looking forward to your opinions and writing for as long as you choose to post.
Regards,
Jim
Sal have you heard these?

Cool Beans! Glad this place lives on.
It warms my heart greatly to have you back... sincerely... I can't imagine a morning without BW.
Now get your fucking ass back to work.
Randy
Hahaha, nice ones Jobe! And well said, Anonymous! :)
I'll add my voice to the chorus welcoming you back, Sal. I work all day and don't usually read BW until fairly late in the evening. Often I'm either too tired to think of something clever to write, or previous commenters have already chimed in and I don't want to beat a dead horse. So I don't comment as often as I'd like to, but I do read what you and the other commenters say, and like many of them, I've learned a lot, even though I've been listening to music for damn near 50 years already.
Marc
Good to have you back Sal!
Those AI Beatles clips creep me out.
It sounds like the guy playing Paul in Beatlemania more than Paul.
Welcome back! Sometimes it's good to vent, at least you didn't shoot up the place.
The Hoodoo Gurus are in NYC Friday night, seeing a great band always helps.
I'm one of those folks who rarely comments. That doesn't mean that I don't thoroughly enjoy what you're doing and appreciate all the work and thought that you put into the blog. THANK YOU. In an era where musical discovery is so often mandated by Spotify or other alogorithims, not enough can be said for what you do and what I learn from your posts. Keep 'em comin'
Good to see you back!
Jeez, I go away for a couple of weeks and all hell breaks loose. This blog is truly a gift to music lovers and a purveyor of the best of music critique, discovery and general good times. I for one am very grateful for your contribution to providing an oasis of sanity in these distressing days. As Nils Lofgren might say: Sal Don't Go!
