An Old Fashioned Mixtape For The Kids: THE WEEKEND MIX

I haven't put one of these together in a very long time, but a few things inspired me, including finding a box of about 100 cassettes, all mixtapes made by yours truly in the early 80's, each with its own ridiculous title like, "Cumin-Scented Music" or "Janne Shlibovnik Goes To Alphabet City. " Plus, I had the iPod going on shuffle, and I loved hearing a few random oddball segues that I wanted to share. And why not? Ain't nothing wrong with a good mixtape.

Some you might know and some you may not.

Let's hope it sounds good altogether, if you choose to take the plunge.

Can't wait to take the plunge.

No greater joy for me back in the day was to make mixtapes for friends, and turning the way-back machine even further, making 8-track mixtapes for them.

I have probably over a thousand cassette tapes underneath my bed in storage containers just waiting for me to blow off the dust.

Thanks for the mix!

So is this a new mixtape or a copy of one of your vintage mixes? Thanks for all you do! Cheers
