Songs Of The Week, 12/9-12/15: An Almost Christmas Edition
Silent Night- Maurice Brown Blackberry Winter- Keith Jarrett Do You Hear What I Hear- Spiraling Paris Nocturne- Dan Fogelberg & Tim Weisberg Give Me A Second Chance- Mike Viola A Prisoner Of The Past- Prefab Sprout A Merry Jingle- The Greedies
Well, that's a deep cut on Dan Fogelberg and Tim Weisberg. Their album cover for Twin Sons of Different Mothers is pure 70s hair! Thx for the intriguing SOTD mix, as always! (Plus, Prefab!)
@Noel M, Yes. Really clever. There is another track, "Silver Bells" I think, where Maurice incorporates the horn riff from "Soulful Strut." It's a great little Christmas album.

Thanks for making the season much better.
I had no idea who The Greedies were until I Youtubed the song - that was a fun three minutes!
I used to listen to the Fogelberg/Weisberg album back in the day though I'll bet it's been nigh on 40 years since I've last spun it.
Great Viola track, he never fails.
Thanks for the tunes and Merry Christmas... Thank you, Santa, for BW.

Forgot to mention the kickass S.O.T.D.
Go Pete!

That version of Silent Night is amazing... the melody they blend in --- is that Miles' "All Blues" I'm hearing?

Love it!
Rock on the Greedies, Merry Festive season to you and yours. Stay safe and Jingle jangle all the way. RIP Philo
