Thank you, Sal. Yesterday afternoon when heard, I spent the rest of the day in a haze. Thankfully I was teaching so I kept my game face on until I came home . Phil's music made my life that much bigger, as he did so many people's.
could never stand the dead or deadheads but with mature reflection i've really learned to enjoy them. jerry's playing, the song writing, the community they built. my younger self would have killed me for seeing that point of view. anyway, sad sad news. hard to see all of these old timers go. makes you realize how much shared experience we all have. seeing these people live, listening to their music. the pillars of our youth and culture are crumbling. hard to watch :/

Yeah..... ..RIP Phil. Thanks for this memory.
Such a long long time to be gone, and a short time to be there. RIP Phil

I played this album too. Very fitting, since their best work sounds elegiac to me.
